Regan Patterson bola ako mnoho iných žien vo vzťahu, v ktorom ju jej priateľ doslova týral... Rozhodla sa dať tomu stopku a jej život sa otočil naruby!

Dvadsaťšesťročná Regan Patterson z Orlanda bola vo veľmi zlom vzťahu. Jej partner ju týral a ona nevedela, ako to riešiť, a tak sa obrátila na McDonald´s a podobné fastfoody. Ani nevedela ako a odrazu neskutočne pribrala.

Regan sa však rozhodla svoj život zmeniť, rozišla sa so svojím násilným priateľom a dala sa na chudnutie. Podarilo sa jej zhodiť neskutočných 40 kíl! „Cítiť sa dobre vo svojej vlastnej koži je úžasné. Prišla som o toľko rôznych zážitkov, a to všetko len preto, že som nemala žiadne sebavedomie,“ priznáva.

Regan si uvedomila, ako veľmi ovplyvňuje jej vzťah jej život ešte v roku 2011. Vtedy sa totiž začala upínať na nezdravé jedlo a poriadne pribrala. „Keď som začala chodiť na strednú, neskutočne som pribrala,“ spomína.

Strength trained 1-2 times a week. And I reached for healthier, more nutrient dense foods. ⁣ ⁣ Once that became habitual, I added more. ⁣ ⁣ And all those small steps I took added up and turned into HUGE results. ⁣ ⁣ I’m not saying you 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 start by tracking your food or working out 5-6 days a week. ⁣ ⁣ But the easier we make it on ourselves starting out, the more likely we are to stick with it! ⁣ ⁣ So no, there is no action that is “too small” or “not enough” because it will eventually lead to another step in the right direction.⁣ ⁣ You don’t have to go from 0-100 overnight. Actually, I highly 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 that. ⁣ ⁣ Each small action you take will lead you to bigger ones. So stop comparing yourself to someone who has been working at it for YEARS AND YEARS when you have just begun. ⁣ ⁣ What can you do TODAY, no matter how small it is, that will lead you in the direction of your goals? ⁣ ⁣ Is it walking for 15 minutes? Is it adding vegetables to your dinner tonight? Is it drinking a glass of water instead of juice in the morning? Yes, it can really be that simple. ⁣ ⁣ So I challenge you today to take SMALL action. Jedného dňa mala však už po krk toho, ako sa zle sa cítila vo vlastnom tele a rozhodla sa pre zmenu. Fastfoody vymenila za zdravú stravu, opäť začala cvičiť a celkovo zmenila svoj prístup. Aj vďaka tomu sa jej podarilo schudnúť neskutočných 40 kíl.

Teraz je teda nezadaná, spokojná sama so sebou a v zdravej strave a cvičení pokračuje i naďalej. Sama však priznáva, že si občas aj dopraje, lebo si myslí, že si to zaslúži. A tak si niekedy dá aj nejakú šišku či niečo sladké.

HA. I love food too (we all do), but I practiced self discipline long enough so achieve better eating habits. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ It’s not even willpower that keeps you going. It’s dedication. And more importantly, it’s habits. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ I don’t think twice anymore about logging my food. The most important thing I did for myself was to simplify the process. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ There’s so much overwhelming information about fat loss. Like when to eat, what to eat and what not to eat, if carbs make you fat, if sugar makes you fat, if fasting works, if this or that workout is most effective in burning fat. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Let me help you out. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Nutrition: calorie deficit. Expend more calories than you ingest. Either by decreasing your caloric intake, and/or moving your body more. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Exercise: the best exercise for fat loss is the one you enjoy the most. Why? Because if you hate it, or dread it, you’re not going to do it. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Of course if your goal is to build muscle, running on the treadmill won’t help you with that. Strength training will need to be the forefront. But if your goal is to just shed some body fat, find what you enjoy most and do that. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ You don’t have to do some crazy restrictive diet to see results. You just need to be consistent. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Most people who say “I’ve tried everything, but can’t lose weight” haven’t tried being patient. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This process takes time, consistency, and doing it even when you’re not motivated. ⁣⁣👏🏼 ⁣⁣ So make this as simple for yourself as possible, because fat loss is hard enough and complicating it will only make it harder. ⁣ ⁣ You got this. ⁣💪🏼 ⁣ Consistency > perfection
